Subject: Lots 1 and 2 Ogunquit
Dan I have a question. If your answer is no, then I will have Michele or I do the testing.
Lot 1 and 2 Ogunquit RD
Neve and Morin are looking to do testing on these 2 old lots. There is quite a bit of old test pit info and I have told them the
following
Ni Greg,
`(es, I remember the letter. I think I told John that a case was coming up that might set some precedent as they were
asking for use of very old soils for new construction. The Board just heard that request earlier this month. They were open
to the idea that there was not a lot of soil left to test and in concept allowed the variance to the local regulations for use of
some outdated soils, but still wanted at least one confirming test to be done to validate the use of the others. It is a local
variance I believe and would require you attend the BOM meeting for approval. I am fairly confident in that they would allow
the variance, so in that light I would support their wishes.
I guess you need to schedule the soils first. The applications are on the
<httr)://www.townofnorthandover.com/Pages/NAndoverMA Flealth/index> , if you need one. It looks like we won't be doing
very many tests so I would say a fee for one site should be sufficient, but I will confirm that when I see the application.
Thanks for checking back in. Please pass this info on to John.
I have only charged them for one lot instead of two. The whole idea is to minimize the amount of disturbed area so it
should not take that long. So, the question is would Mill River like these soil tests, and if so, unless there is an unusual
problem that requires additional testing, you do accept that there will only be fee for one new lot.
Please let us know either way so we can schedule Michele and/or Pam will forward the application to you along with any
old soil test info that is in the files that we can find.
Thanks, have a goad day.
