2. Additional test pit information was gathered on the site in the proximity to the
detention basin and the infiltrator systems. Seasonal high groundwater elevations
were determined and the detention basin design was revised accordingly. The
detention basin design was revised and the design storm calculations revised based on
the new elevations. The seasonal Egli water elevation was calculated to be 190.83
and the detention basin design was revised accordingly.
3. Drainage manholes have been included to eliminate the catch basin to catch basin
connections.
4. The 6 inch orifice elevation has been raised above the outlet pipe elevation.
5. The retaining wall and pavement area have been revised.

Re: 200 Chickering Road(Rennes)-site plan review
Dear Mr.Hajec,
As you may remember you reviewed a prior proposal for the Board located at this site. The plan has been revised to
include the adjacent land that was recently rezoned from residential to commercial at the May town meeting. This
allows the building to be oriented towards RT. 125 and allows the driveway to be placed as far as possible from
Farwood Ave.
As part of their application, the applicant has submitted a letter from Dermott J.Kelly,P.E. stating that the current
proposal would generate less traffic than the previous project. Please review this letter and the attached trip
generation summary for accuracy. The plans will be sent to you separately by the applicant.
The Planning Board will be holding the first public hearing on this project on July 21, 1998. Therefore,I will need
comments in writing from you by July 16, 1998 so that they may be placed into the Planning Board packets.
If you have any questions or need additional information please do not hesitate to contact me at 688-9535.

Test pit 2, approximately 60' from the detention basin, was :found to have
l groundwater less than two feet below the surface, The bottom of the detention basin
is at elevation 188, which is a cut of four and a half feet, If groundwater elevations
are consistent, storage should not be accounted for below the seasonal water table.
3- We do not recomfnend that catch basins be linked because it reduces the e ffectiveness
of the szunP.
4. The 6-inch orifice in Detention Basin 1 may not act as a free discharge due to the 18.
inch outlet having the same invert elevation, especially under Iarger storm events.

5. The retaining wall on the south side of the property appears to overlap the pavement

1. The subarea plans should indicate flow paths. Flow paths have been included on

Test pit 2, approximately 60' from the detention basin, was found to have

is at elevation 188, which is a cut of four and a half feet. If groundwater elevations
are consistent, storage should not be accounted for below the seasonal water table.
Test pit data has been provided at the location of the proposed detention basin. The
proposed finished grade of the basin is 190.00 feet. The seasonal high water elevation
is indicated as 190.83 feet, which is also the outlet invert elevation. The proposed
water Ing e sWitets,in. No asin desin will reupproximatey e . stanitqtet pit data wapovided at the location of the proposed drainage-re
though ground water information was used in design of system.
3. We do not recommend that catch basins be linked because it reduces the effectiveness
of the sump. ,Satisfactorily addressed.
4. The 6-inch orifice in Detention Basin 1 may not act as a free discharge due to the 18-
inch outlet having the same invert elevation, especially under larger storm events.
Reportedly, the proposed detention basin outlet structure has been designed to
provide free discharge from the orifices during the 100 year and lesser storm events.
S. The retaining wall on the south side of the property appears to overlap the pavement
lines. Comment has been addressed.
