Dear Mrs. Daniels:
At the regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting on July 6, 2004, the Planning Board voted unanimously to
grant a waiver from the requirements of Section 8.3 of the North Andover Zoning Bylaw for your proposed
business to be located at 569 Chickering Road. The proposed business, Pottery Paint Time, will offer pottery
painting for people of all ages. The business will be located within a small plaza and parking is available.
Thirteen spaces are available to the lease tenants and 36 open parking spots exist on the side of the building. The
business is a change in use from the previous use as a tax service company. As parking is available,the Board
voted unanimously to grant a waiver from the Site Plan requirements.

Dear Town planner and Planning Board Members,
I would like to thank you for allowing our"change of use" request to remain on the
agenda in our absence. We have had this vacation planned for our children for some time
and canceling would have been very disappointing to them. So we appreciate you
allowing us to send a representative in our place.
Fortunately we were able to appear in front of your board of members to discuss our
business request at your June 1, 2204 meeting. Unfortunately, due to unsuccessful lease
negotiations and building maintenance issues we were unable to secure a lease at 73 Main
St., North Andover.
Since then we have worked diligently to find the right location, because we are
committed to bringing this creative family fun studio to North Andover. So we have
signed a lease for the retail space located at 569 Chickering Rd., and hope that you
approve our request.
On July&, we will send, Kerry Sullivan to the planning board meeting to act as a Pottery
Paint Time Inc. representative. Kerry is Tammy Sullivan-Huapaya's sister and has been
involved in all aspects of the business and it's start-up. She will be able to answer any
questions you have regarding Pottery Paint Time and it's future location.

My name is Anna Daniels,I live at 74 Prospect St. I have a six year old son,Christopher who attends
full-day kindergarten at Atkinson School. He also attends the Bear Stop after school program at
Bradstreet School.
My business partner Tammy Sullivan-Huapaya is lifetime resident of North Andover and graduated
from the North Andover Public School system. She has a five year old daughter who attended
Century Pre-school here in town.
I've come here tonight to request a change of use and business license to be granted for our business
proposal to open a paint your own pottery studio.
As single working parents we understand how precious the time we spend with our children is,so to
us more than a business plan this is a family concept.
We plan on offering a place where children,adults seniors or any combination of the three can enjoy
creative fun.
We will have shelves that will hold pre-fired unfinished plaster pottery pieces for customers to pick
their own piece. They then pick the paint colors from a large assortment of water-based,non-toxic
opaque stains. They pick a seat and paint until their piece is complete. We then spray it with a
glossy sealer and the piece is ready to be taken home. No ovens or firing required. The process
should take an average of 25-45 minutes from start to finish.
We hope to be open six or seven days a week depending on the season. We hope to be open from
10:00am to 7:00pm Mon-Fri and 9:00am-5:00pm on Saturdays. Seasonal Sundays from 11:00am-
5:00pm.
We will offer senior sessions,theme nights,pottery clubs,birthday parties and community
fundraising days.
