Your engineer, Ben Osgood, of New England Engineering has requested the following variance from the North Andover Septic Regulations: 1) To allow, the use of an impervious barrier and boulder retaining wall in lieu of a concrete retaining ivall. The approval of this plan is contingent on the approval of the variance from the Board of Health at the next scheduled meeting date of September 18`x', 2008. If the variance is approved, the plan will be officially approved. This letter does not guarantee the variance approval, however unless the board finds an unusual circumstance, this particular request is generally granted. The approved plan will be valid for two years from the date of approval. The design is for use in the construction of an onsite septic system for a 4-bedroom house (maximum 9-room). During this time, a licensed septic system installer must obtain a permit and complete this work, and a Certificate of Compliance be endorsed by the installer, designer and the Town of North Andover. In the event an imminent health problem such as sewage backup into the dwelling is occurring, the North Andover Board of Health may reduce the time period for which this plan is valid. This approval is also subject to the following conditions: 1.
