The project entails the construction of 16,900 square feet of commercial/retail space on a 6.2-acre parcel located in the southwest corner of the Route 125/Farrwood Avenue intersection. An existing floral shop and greenhouse will be demolished as part of this project. According to information included in the ENF, the project is expected to generate 1,446 new vehicle-trips on an average weekday. A MassHighway permit is required for access to Route 125. We believe that the overall traffic impacts of this project to the state highway system will be minimal, and we recommend that an EIR not be required based on traffic issues. The details of any access-related issues can be handled during the MassHighway access permit process for this project.
