St. Michael Parish in North Andover broke ground yesterday for an educational life center on Maple Street.
Students from St. Michael School showed enthusiasm at the mention of goodies being served after the ceremony.

Parish celebrated the start of construction on its new fr
education center off Maple Street yesterday.A crowd }
of young parishioners cheered as shovels broke the
ground on the first phase of an expansion project that f'
includes new classrooms for the parochial school and a
new church.The Most Rev.John R.McNamara,bishop , u
of the Merrimack Valley,the Rev.Paul T.Keyes,pas
tor,and town officials were joined at the ceremony by Wearing paper hard hats to celebrate the groundbreaking
many of the parish's 3,700 families.The parish has are 5-year-olds Peter Gohn,son of Robert and Patricia Gohn,
managed to raise all but$100,000 of the$6 million and Meghan Weir, daughter of John and Maureen Weir,,both
