To Whom It May Concern,
A field observation and design check of the subject property was conducted to
determine the suitability of the existing roof structure to support the installation of
solar panels.
From the field observation of the property, the existing roof structure was
observed as follows:
The existing roof structure consists of a single layer of composition shingles over
plywood sheathing that is supported by 2x10 roof rafters spaced at 16" on center
at Array 1. The rafters are sloped at approximately 36 degrees and have a
maximum projected horizontal span of 16'-4" at Array 1 between load bearing
walls. The roof is also in good condition.
Utilizing the information determined from the field observation, the attached
structural calculations have been prepared for the subject property in accordance
with the following design criteria:
• Applicable Codes: 2009 IBC, ASCE 7-05 and 2005 NDS
Basic Wind Speed = 100 mph
• Exposure Category = B
• Ground Snow Load = 50 psf
As a result of the completed field observation and design check, I certify that the
capacity of the existing roof structure that directly supports the additional loading
due to the installation of solar panel supports and modules has been reviewed
and determined to meet or exceed the requirements of the 2009 International
Building Code.

An Overview of Your Solar Agreement (cont'd)
Our Promises to You
• We insure and repair the System for the entire 20-year Initial Term, as specified in the agreement.
• We only work with insured partners who are licensed to install and maintain the System.
• We provide a 20-year performance guarantee and 10-year output warranty as set forth in Exhibit 2.
• We provide 24/7 web-accessible monitoring at no additional cost to you, as specified in the agreement.
• We warranty your roof against leaks caused by the System for at least five(5) years after installation, as
specified in the agreement.
• We restore your roof at the end of the agreement, as specified in the agreement.
• During the Initial Term,the rate you pay for solar, exclusive of taxes, will not increase by more than 0.0% per
year.
Your Prepayment and Transfer Choices During the Initial Term
• If you move,you may transfer this agreement to the purchaser of your Home, as specified in the agreement.
• If you move,you may prepay the remaining payments(if any) at a discount.
• At certain times, as specified in the agreement, you may purchase the System.
Your Choices at the End of the Initial Term
• We will remove the System at no additional cost to you.
• You may purchase the System for its fair market value as specified in the agreement.
• You may renew your agreement for up to five(5) years in five(5) one(1) year increments.
• Otherwise,the agreement will automatically renew for an additional one (1) year term at 10% less than the
then-current average rate charged by your local utility.
Other Important Terms
• After going solar you will continue to receive a bill from your utility, but it will be offset by your solar
production.
• The Price per kWh (Year 1), Est.Avg. Monthly Payment (Year 1), and Avg. Price per kWh (initial Term) listed
above each reflect a $7.50 per month discount for paying by automatic debit (ACH), and will be higher if you
choose another method of payment.
