will have the first meeting with 120 eighth-graders participating in the
project. The artwork will have themes based on the Social Studies
curriculum and connect with our town history. The title of the project:
"North Andover, 1642 ~ 1863".Students will concetrate on the early days
of our community.
The students are broken up into four groups and then into smaller teams
within each group. We meet at 7:45am every Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday morning. The firstlesson was to pick atopic and then begin to
designeach artwork to bring that topic into a visual dimension.

1600's" to "Boating On The Merrimack in the Early Days", "Weir Hill in
the Early Days", " Childrens Games of the 1600's", North Andover
Common at the Civil War, etc.History is coming to life for them as they
also learn more about North Andover recycling& why we do this
communityeffort forour environment.
