HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-03-29 Board of Assessor i t NORTH ANDOVER BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES a March 29, 2016 — 2:28 p.m. • On the above date the North Andover Board of Assessors gathered in The Assessor's Office at the North Andover Town Hall to consider any and all business to come before the Board. Present were: Bryan Perry, Board Member, George R. Barker Jr., Board Member, Samuel G. Cheney Jr., Assistant Assessor and Toni K. Wolfenden, Assessor's Clerk. With a quorum I of board members being present, the motions to open the general meeting was made by Bryan Perry and seconded by George Barker. Motion was unanimous. Having no other old business to consider, a motion was made by Perry and seconded by Barker to move to executive session to review, discuss and vote on submitted abatement applications. Motion was unanimous. The meeting adjourned behind closed doors in the above mentioned office. The following applications for abatement were discussed with the following dispositions: The Board Members voted unanimously 2-0-0. Mr. George Barker has stepped out of the office. RRC has been hired to view the property; The Chair has chosen to reduce the value to the suggested amount from the contractor. RRC is the hired professional and the Board is comfortable with their decision to abate the value. Bryan Perry is in agreement. f i 2 f i b S 4 c s The Board voted to deny the following applications. Both Mr. Barker and Mr. Perry signed additional documents and forms waiting for approval by the Board of Assessors. A motion was made by Mr. Barker and seconded by Mr. Perry to adjourn the executive session.
