Brick Walkway Extension,New Stepping Stone Walk and Installation of Native
Landscape Plantings
Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #56
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 J of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Porter Weeks of
the Dunbarton Design Group,LLC,on behalf of Daniel and Cathy Gutman (owners),filed for a small
project for work proposed at 534 Boston Street,North Andover. The work consists of extending a
brick walkway by approximately 230 s.f.,creating a natural bluestone walkway and pervious
landing,installing drainage pipes, and installing native plantings in the buffer zone to a Bordering
Vegetated Wetland (BVW). All work is outside the 25-foot No-Disturbance Zone as shown on the
plan referenced herein with the exception of plant installation. The Conservation Department
conducted a field inspection of the site and reflagged portions of the wetland line. The closest point of
work is shown on the record plan.
During the July 22,2009 public meeting,the North Andover Conservation Commission(NACC)
voted unanimously to approve this project as described above. The following conditions were hereby
mandated for the proposed work:

CONDITIONS:
1. Per section 4.4.5C of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Bylaw Regulations, erosion
control shall be properly installed at the edge of existing turf between all work and the
adjacent wetland resource areas. Prior to the start of construction, the Conservation
Administrator shall inspect all erosion controls.
2. Landscape plantings to be installed in the 25-foot No-Disturbance Zone shall be species
native to Essex County, Massachusetts. All landscape plantings within jurisdictional areas
shall be approved by the Conservation Administrator.
3. Excess material shall be properly disposed of off site and all stockpile areas shall be located
more than 50-feet from resource areas.
4. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization, please contact the
Conservation Department for a final inspection.
5. This permit shall expire one year from the date of issuance.
