CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT Community Development Division July 31,2009 Brenda&Eric Faulkner 45 Woodbury Lane North Andover, MA 01845 45 Woodbury Lane, North Andover Expansion of an Existing Deck,New Patio and Associated Grading Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #57 Pursuant to section 4.4.2 A,F and J of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Brenda and Eric Faulkner, applicants/ homeowners,filed for a small project for work proposed at 45 Woodbury Lane,North Andover. The work consists of the construction 112 square foot(8' x 14') deck, a 294 square foot stone patio and stairs (partially pervious) and associated grading. All work is within the 100-foot buffer zone to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVW) associated with an intermittent stream which is located approximately 61 feet to the west of the proposed work at its closest point. Soil disturbance for the work is limited to minor grading by a small bobcat. A berm/stonewall and two driveways separate the proposed work from the wetland resource area. The Conservation Department conducted a field inspection of the property and agreed with the location of the wetland boundary. During the July 22,2009 public meeting,the North Andover Conservation Commission(NACC) voted unanimously to approve this project as described above. The following conditions were hereby mandated for the proposed work: RECORD DOCUMENTS: Email of July 22,2007(from Brenda Faulkner to Jennifer Hughes) regarding 45 Woodbury Lane,photo (1 page),and plan titled Woodberry lane,North Andover,Mass:Utility Easement Plan, received July 8, 2009; CONDITIONS: 1. Accepted engineering and construction standards and procedures shall be followed in the completion of the project. 2. Per section 4.4.5 of the Town of North Andover Wetland Protection Bylaw Regulations, hay bales shall be placed at the drainage outlet located on the west side of the driveway to prevent the erosion of stockpiled materials into the wetland resource area. 4. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization (loam and seed),please contact the Conservation Department for a final inspection. 5. This permit shall expire on December 31,2009.
