Deck Replacement and Extension
Conservation Conditions of Approval,NACC #69
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 (A) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Mr. Brendan
Salach (applicant/homeowner) filed for a small project for work proposed at 100 Bridle Path,North
Andover. The proposed work includes the razing of an existing deck and stairs, and the construction
of two decks (14'x 17' and 8'x 7'joined) and associated stairs. The old footings will be removed
and seven (8) new 12" cement filled sono-tubes will be dug and placed by hand, as shown on the
attached plan.Work will be conducted 50' from the edge of Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVW) at
its closest point. The North Andover Conservation Department agrees with the location of the
wetland boundary.
During the May 19,2010 public meeting, the North Andover Conservation Commission (NACC)
voted unanimously to approve this project.The following conditions are hereby mandated:

CONDITIONS:
1. Prior to the start of construction, erosion controls (toed-in silt fence and/or hay bales) shall be
installed at the limit of work shown on the herein referenced plan.

2. Prior to the start of the construction the applicant shall stake the deck location and contact the
Conservation Department for a pre-construction inspection.
3. Accepted engineering and construction standards and procedures shall be followed in the
completion of the project.
4. All sonotube footings shall be dug by hand as proposed.
5. Excess material shall be properly disposed of offsite.
6. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization,please contact the Conservation
Department for a final inspection.
7. This permit shall expire six months from the date of issue.
