Sargent School, 300 Abbott Street, North Andover Raised Garden Bed Installation Conservation Conditions of Approval,NACC #76 Pursuant to section 4.4.2 J of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations Annie L.Sargent School/Jill Romano,applicant/representative,filed for a small project for work proposed at the Annie L. Sargent School,300 Abbott Street,North Andover.The work consists of installation of three raised garden beds and fencing with minor land preparation located at the south east corner of the school building. The garden beds are proposed to utilize organic gardening practices. The proposed work is located 45 feet from a Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVW). Work will be conducted outside of the 25-foot No Disturbance Zone. During the December 1,2010 public meeting,the North Andover Conservation Commission(NACC) voted unanimously to approve this project as described above. Accepted engineering.and construction standards and procedures shall be followed in the completion of the project. 2. Prior to the start of construction, the applicant shall stake the proposed garden bed locations in the field and contact the Conservation Department for a preconstruction meeting at the site. 4. All disturbed areas shall be stabilized following construction. 5. A compost bin shall be constructed outside of the 50' No-Build Zone and utilized for garden debris such as weeds, dead vegetation and other organic debris that result from the garden beds. 6. Upon completion of construction, the applicant shall contact the Conservation Department to schedule a post-construction inspection. 7. This permit shall expire December 31 2011.
