HomeMy WebLinkAboutDecision - 172 SUTTON STREET 12/16/2010 t►ORTH A � ro A �9SSACHUS��t� CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT Community Development Division December 16,2010 Timothy Willett Operations Manager Division of Public Works 384 Osgood Street North Andover,MA 01845 170-172 Sutton Street—North Andover Thrift Shop North Andover Deck Removal and Replacement Conservation Conditions of Approval,NACC #79 Pursuant to section 4.4.2 J of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Timothy Willett and Gene Willis,North Andover Division of Public Works (DPW), filed a small project request on behalf of the Town of North Andover for work at 170-172 Sutton Street also known as the North Andover Thrift Shop. The proposed work includes the removal of an existing deck and associated stairs. The old footings will be removed and a new 5'x 5'landing and stairs will be installed as shown on the attached plan. Work will be conducted 26'from the edge of Bank associated with Cochichewick Brook and 20' from the edge of Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVW) at its closest point. The North Andover Conservation Department agrees with the location of the wetland boundary and approves this work as a small project because of the reduction of impervious area within Riverfront Area and Buffer Zone. During the December 15,2010 public meeting, the North Andover Conservation Commission (NACC) voted unanimously to approve this project. Erosion Control (EC) shall be provided at the top of bank as detailed in email from Tim Willett on November 29,2010. Once EC is in place the Conservation Department shall be contacted to inspect. 2. Accepted engineering and construction standards and procedures shall be followed in the completion of the project. 3. Excess material shall be properly disposed of offsite. 4. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization,please contact the Conservation Department for a final inspection. 5.
