Other side effects ` were pain, redness,swelling atinjection site.Also muscle pain,fatigue,fever, nausea,vomiting, diarrhea, headache and shivering. Side effects lasted 1-Zdays. * 979& protection against shingles in adults S0-69years old m 91y& protection inadults 7Oand older u 91% protection against PHN (post-herpetic neuropathy) in adults 50 and older * Protection of86%orabove was maintained for 4years after vaccination " Once approved by CDC,the shingles vaccination recommendations will be published in the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report), at which time the recommendations will become official CDC policy.
