Dear Members of the ZBA:
My name is Corey Lawlor. I've lived in North Andover all my life. I live at 290 Stevens Street,
which is right across the street from the property at 271 Stevens Street. I am the closest
neighbor, so whatever happens on that property will affect me the most.
I'm writing in support of Mr. Brecher's variance application. He and his wife were thoughtful
enough to show me their plans and ask my opinion. What they propose to do is entirely in
keeping with the character and quality of the neighborhood. I have no objection to what they
have in mind and I support their application.
The 271 Stevens Street property is not being lived in or kept up, which is not good for the
neighborhood. Fixing up the old house and building a new house will be good for the
neighborhood. I know the house that Mr. and Mrs. Brecher built for themselves—we're
neighbors -- and I'm confident their plan will be a high-quality upgrade to the property
and to the neighborhood we share. I'd like to see good looking houses across the street
from me.
I live on Stevens Street right across from the property, and in my opinion, one additional house
on that property will not add any traffic to speak of. And one more driveway will not make the
street dangerous.
Since I live directly across the street from that property, I will be the most affected, and I do not
think there will be any negative impact on my property or on the neighborhood. To the contrary,
what they are proposing will be good for the neighborhood.
