Subject: Minutes of meeting 20 January 1969.
1. The sixty first regular me
-Aing was called to order by the chairman at
7713 FU in the Planning Board office.
2. Members Present: Hes yrs. Roberts,, Chepulis, Lordan and Lewis.
3 . Members Absent: T.4rs. Kittredge, Messrs. lafond and Demers.
4. Minut The minutes of the meeting of 8 January 1969 Nnre approved
as submitted.
A Mr. Root: It was with sadness that the Commission noted the death of
Oscar Ti. Root on 11 January 1969, It was through his efforts that the
Conservation Commission was established in 1961. Yr. Root 's work in
thf field of conservation will always be remembered. Ne was a dedicated
b6pservatToni st.

Demers, when contacted,,-vn_shcd to remain an associate memberp The matter
was tabled until the next meeting.
64 Match Act: T�Tir. Roberts stated that he contacted Pr. Mangano. The filling
had started last fall. A paper street, Ahyne St., is involved. Mr.
Roberts thinks that this )-,)articular situation is a marginal one. In
conjunction with the Ehiec operation TIr. Roberts is to request an opinion
from the D1,1R as to what action, if any, could have been taken.
7. Annual Report: Mr. Roberts submitted a copy of the Commission's annual
report,_for 7the 1960 Town Report. Mr. Lordan suggested that MY. Root 's
death be included oven though it occurred after 31 DeG. 1963. The Com-
mission agreed with Mr. Lordan's suggestion.
So Flood-plain Zoning: Mr. Roberts submitted a proposed article on flood-
plain zoning. it was recormiended that land bordering the Merrimack River
be included in the article. Other town departments should be notified for
their comments on flood-plain zoning.
TTr. Roberts will attend the I'lanning
Board meeting on Wednesday 22 January 1969 to discuss the article with the
Planning Board.
9. Dud7et: The previously approved budget had been turned in to the Town
Actuntant.
10. Conservation Fund: The Conservation Fund article had been turned in to the
Ton Clerk for insertion in the Town. ',Varrant.

11. Radar elite: It. Roberts stated. that letters had been sent as stipulated
in the minutes of the meeting of 8 JanRary 1969.
12o Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:12 PM.
