fied by mail.. , as requested.

reported their observations to the Corrimission. A separate: report; of
these observations has been prepared for the Johnson Circle file .
Various questions were raised as to the extent of the Comdcission' s
power in this matter. Town Counsel has been requested to Look into
the problem of construction on a part of a subdivision during the
60 day moratorium. This question plus t;he question of a "taking" J
if we refuse tb allow the stream to be moved (two lots thus being
undevelopable ) are to be referred to the Conservation Law Foundation,
Boston. Pat Trombly will handle this.
2. patal Land.
Leo Lafond and Joe D 'Angelo viewed the site at Great Pond
Road and reported that in their estimation a better solution
would be to pipe the brook and fill over. Silting damage has already r
occurred. Our conditions simply prevent it from recurring.
The property owner expressed a willingness to consider the
new alternative. Pat Trombly was directed to write to Mr. :fatal

2. natal Land, cont ' d,
offering the following alternative . The seepage at the road may be
collected in a pool lined bottom and sides with a suitable material.
The water would be then piped approximately sixty feet (pipe with
a 12 inch minimum diameter) where it would flow onto an area
covered with rip-rap, and cascade down to the lake . The final plan
would have to be filed with the Commission.
This alternative met with the unanimous approval of the four
members present during the discussion(Resca, Lafond, D ' Angelo, Trombly. )
Miscellaneous business.

Commission was received from the Selectmen. A discussion on
associate memberships was tabled until the full Commission meets.

ahead of time for future meetings. A formal agenda should be
established for all meetings . A question was raised and tabled
.as to whether Wednesday should remain as meeting night.
4. Lake Cochichewick Shoreline.
Mrs . Trombly reported that there is nothing new on the possible
sale of Campion Hall . It was thought that the Commission might
request a conservation easement along the shoreline .
The B.U. Conference Center was considered as another site where an
easement would be useful. Mr. Worthen will contact the Stevens '
family to see if any of them have any connection with the center.
Watson' s Gravel Pit.
Frs . Kittredge gave a report on the Board of Appeals meeting on
Watson' s Gravel Pit. The Board intends to view the site to see the
extent of development there . There is a possibility that we may have
to step in if his wort has directly involved a stream crossing the
property.
