Mr. Peter Ritshie in payment for his services rendered in court in the
case of "Stanleyvillea. It was also voted that in the future if any
requests for witnesses from the Board were made, ~,mmons to the court must
be made in writing and only the witness fee would be paid by ~he person
doing the summoning.
Motion was then made and ssconded that a bill should be charged to the
Board's expenses in the amount of $~00 each for Mr. Mooradkanian, Mr.
Ritchie and Mr. Poor to cover the expenses incurred when they ~ttended the
Regional meeting of Planning Boards in Amdover.
Meeting was adjourned at 10~00 P.M.

This was a special meeting called by the Chairman to discuss a letter ,which
was sent to the Ohairman from Mr. William B. Duffy, S.upt of the Board of
Public Works of the Town of North Andover, requesting to be informed as to
what action the Planning Board had taken in regard to the approval of
Lorrain Avenue.
Mr. Norwaod was also present at this meeting at the request of the Board
and he informed that Board that since the last meeting, Mr. Hurley from whom
he had bought his land and Mr, C.J.Mahoney had conferred with horn and in-
formed him that Lorraine Avenue had been approved by the Board of Survey
some time during 1923. Mr. Norwood was then informed that considerable rise
and expenses had been incurred to check on this matter and that there was
no proof available to show that this street had once been approved. He was
informed that if such proof existed, Mr. Hurley, Mr. Mahoney or himself should
present this proof to the .Board and that until such time as proof was given~
Lorraine Avenue as far as the present Planning Board was concerned was still
an ,m-pproved street and that Mr. Duffy would be notified as to this effect.

Dear ~. Duff: The Pla~ing Board , at a meeting held onJu~ ~, 19~
again considered the matter of Lorraine Avenue and the approval of this
~street, in order to facilitate the ent~ of water service in this street,
for mae by Mr. ~lco~ G. Norwood ~d others. It was ~rcught out at this
meeting that Attorney C.J.Mahoney, representing the Hurley~al~ Co interests
claima that the development of whichLorraine Avenue is a part, was approved
by the Board of~Survey in 1924, on the petition of the H~ley Real~ Compaq.
The P~ing Board is making an attempt to v~i~ this fact and oonse~ent~
is delaying iSs decision as to this street layout until such time as it can
discover the t~e facts concerning this matter. ~e Board ~ll i~o~ ~u
at the earliest possible moment after it has learned further regarding this
development.
