This ~atter was theroughly discussed with all partied concerned' and
all were in accord that this last suggestion would probably solve the
problen and elininate the d~n~ers envolved with the steep grade at
the Great Pond Road end of Stanle~.llle Avenue.
Me'ion was ~ade and seconded and it Was VOTED and all partied present
were advised that before aw action could be taken by the P~mntng
Beard, a feral application would have te ~e presented to the Board
and a public hearing would have to be held.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairaan at 8~10 P.M. in the
Town Building.
Meahere present: Chairman,. Gregory Moorad_kanian, ~aaes ~. Poor,
Peter Rltchie and Richard ~hipple.
Mr. Car~elle Gioce and his Engineers, Fred Stewers & Son were present
with the plans of the layeut of the renuining portion of Healeck Street.
This application was originally presented to the Board en Se~,9; 1949
but due ta the fact that the pl-_-~ had not been completed the discussion
was peetpone~ until this date. In the weantime a letter was sent te the
State Department of Public Works regarding an~ requirements that department
eight have in regard te entry into a State Highway. This ~ letter was dated
0etcher 11, 1949. Reply te this letter was received en October 20, 1949
and is filed in the case folder fer this application. Due to the restric-
tions laid out by the State Departaent, it was ~0TED to hold up any action
en the approval of this layout until further contact with the State Dept.
had been ~ade. ~r. Stowers stated that if the t~"Ae fasts in this case
were kneen to the State Dept. he felt quite sure that these restrictions
weuld be lifted as this was fairly level grading and the necessity for the
extra catch basins could be eliminated. Yt was decided that he eheuld
send a copy of the plan to the State Dept. and until an answer was received
all a etlon would be tabled~ and ~r. Gioco was advised te in~or~ the Board as
soon aa he received any iufor~ation on this subject.
Mr. Musichuck ef 198 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus was present before the Board fer
eeme infor~al inforaation. ~fr. Musich--ek recently purchased ~e~ Union
School and now wishes to convert this building into four apartments.

He was advised as to the procedure to make an application to the Board
for re-$ening. This property is located in a General Residential District.
Mr. Ralph Brasseur mae present and presented p~ ta the Board which were
dated' February ?, 1938 and which had been signed ~y the Board of Survey
showing that that Board had apprmved the layout of Morris Street. Mr,
Leonard Firth had previously made an application te this Board for the
approval of the layout ef this Street and it had been~antod to him en
certain conditions. In view ef the disclosure of the above information,
a motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to recAnd the veto taken
by the Planning Board en September 15, 19~ It was also VOTED to n~tify
Mr. Firth o~ this action as well as the Board of Public Works, the--own
Clerk and the Board of Assessors. Letters to the above notifying them
of the action taken at this meeting were ~nt out on t?evember 16, 19~9~
The matter of the street list which is being complied by the Planning
Board as part of the Master Plan Project, this was discussed with Mr .
Brneseur and he informed the Board that he had in his possession a list
of all accepted streets of the town. He also shatod that this was list
copied fron one which is in the possession ef Mr. Duncan and he felt
that Mr. Duncan's permission should be given before he could pass this
information eh.
· letter was received fr~m George and David Rennie asking that the
Planning Board accept their petition to withdraw the petition presented
tm the Beard by them asking for the approval to change their property
from a General Residential to an Agricultural District.
Motion wac made and seconded and it was VOTED to accept the~with&rawl
ef the Rennie application and that plans which are in the possession ef
the Planning ~oard be returned to the Renniee. · letter to this effest
will be sent to George and Davis Rennie,
· discussion was held with regard to changing the meeting night of_ the-
Planning Board from the first Friday to the first Monday of the month.
Motion was made and seconded and it Was VOTED to change the meeting night
to the first Monday ef each month beginning, in December 1949.
