Meeting to order at 8:15 P.M.
Members present~ Chariman, Peter ~itchie, Secretary, Richard G. Whipple,
Qregory Moorad~anian, Lyman H. Kilton and Edwin Reinhold.
There were no f°r~al applications to be 9onsidered by the Board at this
meeting.
Mrs. p~,ltu Blood and Miss Barbara K. Reynolds were present before the
Board requesting information as to the procedure required t~ request 'a
rezoning of a parcel of property located at the corner of Turnpike Street
and Peters Street. Miss Reynolds wishes to 'purchase this property and to
· aintain a tea room and inn. They were informed by the Board that they
would have 'to have a formal application and the required plans and that
this could be presented at the next regular meeting.
A general discussion was held relative to the present Zoning Map of the
Town. The supply of these ~aps has run out and as there are mar~ demands
for copies of this map, the Planning Board felt that more should be printed.
After talking with Mr. Ralph Brasseur, the Board felt that the map should
be brought up to date before any printing was done. Several suggestions
were rode and ~otion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to hold -'
special meeting on October 16, 1950 at which time Mr. Braseeur would give
the Board fuller details as to what should be done and also give an estimate
figure a~ to the cost of bringing the map up to date. Mr. Brasseur ,also
stated that he would ~e inquiries as to cost of having the new ~ap
prin~ed in colors instead of the hatching as it had been done before, since
this ~akes the mnp very difficult to read.
A discussion was also held relative to the geodedical maps which were made
last year and Mr. Mooradkanian advised the Board that t~ese were almost
finished and that he would present them to the Board at the next meeting.
Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTe] to adjourn the meeting.
