Meeting was called ~o order by the Chairman at 8100 P.M, in the Town
Building.
Members present~ 'Richard G. Whipple, Chairman~ Edwin Retnhold~ Secretary~
Gregory Mooradkanianj Nicholas Nicetta and William Swithen~ank.
There were no applications to be considered ~at this meetinge
Mre Ralph Brasseur was present and made his report on thd card file system an
a]_l streets in the Town. Mre ~rasseur exp~_~t ~ed that there were still a few
entries that he would like to make but that up to the present time he had not
had the chance te do the research work needed and that these ite~ms would be
added later as well as ar~ ether information that would become available t~ hi=
in the future. The Board accepted the file and thanked Mr. Brasseur. The Board
felt that this file system would be a great help for futa~re reference.
Mr, Beresa was also present regarding ~he pessiblli~ of having a survey made
in the Mifflin park area for surface drainage study. He explained the~ conditions
that existed in that area and referred te the Advisory Board report of last year
where the Board advised that a study be made of this area to solve the surface
drainage problem which has existed there for some time. l/re Brasseur explained to
the Board that nothing constructive ~,uld be done abeu~ this umt/1 a survey and
study of the area could be made.
After ~ach discussion of this problemj a motion was made and seconded and it was
voted by the Board that the services of Mr. Brasseur be engaged t~ make a surface
dra~u ~arvey and study of the arsa~ bounded on the nortn~west side by Mifflin Drive,
southwesterly by Massachusetts Avenue~ southeasterly by Hemlock Street and north-
easterly by Weodbridge Road following Greene Street to the Shawsheen Rivere The
cost of such survey and study not $0 exceed $250.00, The .Board also voted te pa~
~ balance of th~ 1952 appropriation to Mr. Rrasseur and if ~h~ was not sufficient
$~he balance to be paid from the 1553 appropriation. The plan to be finished and
presented tO' the Board no later that December 1~ 1952e Mre Brasseur was agreeable
to these ~[gures and ~he motion was --~-~mously VOTED upon. It was also voted that
Mr. Brasseur be thanked by the Board for the 'excellent Job on the ee~p.~g ef the
info~mation contained in the new card system regarding the streets ~n the Town,
Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED %o adjourn at 9~30 P.M. The
