The Planning Board met with the Board of Anpeals at 8:00 p. m. Members of the Planning
Board present: Nicholas Nicetta, Chairman, John Osgood, Secretary, James Bannan and
Ralph Finck,
Members of the Board of Appeals present: Ralph Finck, Chair~eu Kenneth Terroux, A1 fred
Boeglin, Nicholas Nicetta and Associate Member, Daniel 0~Leary.
The Board met for the purpose of discussing the difficulty that is arising due to im-
proper issuances of building permits.
One such case that was discussed was that of Maurtce Sergi, 41Mifflin Drive, who wishes
to erect a garage with a breezeway. There was some discrepancy as to this, one of the
members brought out ~hat the Building Inspector stated he thought the application was
just for a garege. ~. Sergi's application was signed for a breezeway and garage by the
B~ilding Inspector. The Board reviewed the present By-Law, page 7 regarding rear yards
concerning the above matter. Mr. Sergi would have to be 15~ from the next lot line to
build a garage. Inrespect to Mifflin Drive he can buildbecause the By-Law permits
65' from the street line. Putnam Road which is on the side of the Sergi residence could
not be used as a measure of 65~ from the street line because of the short distance.
The members of both Boar~s expressed the same sentiment to the effect of the ttw~ and
effort spent by these Boerds without any cooperation from various T~n Officials. It
was suggested to invite the Advisory Board to accompany the Pla~ntug Boerd and the
Board of Appeals when they go before the Board of Selectmen.
The members Terroux, D'Leary, Barman heartily agreed that it was time something was
done. It was decided to meet Monday, November 19, to .go before the Selectmen due to the
difficulty the Boerds have had in zoning problems which occurred in the Town to sect
their cooperation, and that permits issued in the future be referred to the Planning
Board and the Board of Ao~eals.
