MEMORANDUM
The Applicants, John J. Ronayne and Charlotte R. Ronayne,
husband and wife, seek a Variance from the rear line setback
requirements of the Zoning By-Laws in a R-2 District. The Parties
reside in the wood frame residence located at 122 Stevens Street,
North Andover, Massachusetts, which was purchased by them on July
25, 1967. They want to add a two (2) stall garage and foyer attached
to the rear of the main house. This structure would be approximately
15 feet from the rear lot line. A Variance of fifteen (15) feet is
requested in order to construct the addition.
The Applicants agree to remove the existing two (2) stall garage
which is presently in poor condition. They have also hired a
contractor to connect the house to the town sewer and they have hired
an electrical contractor to install the electrical services underground.
The use is in harmony with the general purpose and intent, with
the general purpose and intent of the Zoning By-Law and desirable
relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent
or purpose of the Zoning By-Law.
