~ special meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday, September lA, 1959
at 7:30 PM at the To~m Building. Hembers present and voting were: James M. Bannan,
Chairman, Robert Burke Secretary, Howard Gilman, Nicholss Nicetta and John Osgood.

Mr. Leo Youug was present and gave a report on the work John Blackwell performed
during the period he was employed by the Town. He pointed out the gro~h of the
Town and how they felt the Townwould grow in population as well as growth in Industry.
It was pointed out the first phase of the contract called for
1. Aireal photes& road maps
2. Building growth
3. Future land use with plan
The second year's phase was never completed.
The Board reviewed the report as Mr. Young read each section. Corrections were
made as the Board felt they were necewsary.
Mr. Osgood suggested Mr. Young sub~it the galley proofs before the Board gives
its final approval.
A special meeting was set up for Seotember 21 at ~mich time the Board will read the
galley proofs.
Mr. Joseph Paley appeared before the Board in the interest of the Airport Com-~Lission
on the re,cation of Clark Street. It was pointed out that the laud had been taken
from. D & G Realty Company, ?~srgaret Rogers, snd ArthurColg~te and they were glad of
thds because s new road would run through their land.
It was pointed out the 3000 foot road wo~:ld have a ditch for drainage.
Mr. Nicetta stated he felt there should be surface drains with catch basins no
more than 400 feet apart.
A letter would be written to ~:ir. Francis Jones of the Airport Commission requesting
the follo~dng changes:
26 foot travelway
Bituminous bern on each side ~ith sub-m~face drains ~th catch
basins no more than 400 feet apart
It was votsd a Public Hearing be held on October 26 for the Airport Commission.
