Regul~ r 1 ~eeting
The regular monthly meeting of the Plar~uing Board was held on Monday, October 5, 1959
at 7:30 PM at the Town Building. Members present and voting were: Ja~es M. Bannan,
Chairman, Robert Burke, Secretary, John 0sgood, Nicholas Nicet a and Howard Gilman.
Atty. Alfred Daniels appeared before the Board requesting permission to appear befc~e
the Boa-'d of Appeals for a rehearing on the application of Edward H. heeler.
Mr. Nicetta moved that pe~ission be granted to Attorney Daniels. Mr.Burke seconded
the motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Charles Stutudt appeared before the Board r~questing them to change his plans
to read two coats of oil on the road instead of bituminous. Mr. 0s~ood moved to
take the matter under advisement. Mr. Gilman seconded the motion. Unani~ous vote.
Mr. N~cetta stated he f~tt Town Counsel should be consulted on this 'to see whether a
Public Hearing should be held on this.
Mr. Burke read a ~etter from Herbert Smith and the Board decided this should be referred
to the Board of Appeals.
Mr. Nicetta moved that the Chairman consult with Town Counsel to find out if it is
necesss.ry for anyone seel~ing a secodd hearing before two years to get permission
from the Planning Board before going to the Board of Appeals. Mr. Gilman seconded
the motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Neiland Douglas appeared before the Board. The Board explained the work that had
been done by Mr. Blackwell.
Mr. Nicetta suggested that Mr. Young be contacted for a cody of the 701 program, 1st and
2nd phases and then a copy of this be forwarded to Mr. Douglas who will then prepare
his proposal on what should be done.
Mr. Burke moved that Mr. Blackwell's report be approved for printing. Mr. Gilman
seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
A bill for $ 15.7~ for M~ry Doherty was signed.
Mr. Gilman moved that the meeting adjourn at 10:00 PM.
