The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Tuesday evening May 16, 1995 upon the
application of James& Sharon Coskren requesting a variation under Section 2, Paragraph
3.371 of the Zoning Bylaw so as to permit relief of 224 square feet for the construction of
a family suite which exceeds more than 25%of the gross floor area of the principal unit.
Applicant is also requesting a Special Permit under Section 4,Paragraph 4.121(17)so as
to permit the construction of a family suite located at 206 Appleton Street,Zoning District
R-1. The proposed family suite will conform to the current Zoning Bylaw setbacks.
The following members were present and voting: Walter Soule,,William Sullivan,
Raymond Vivenzio, Joseph Faris and Scott Karpinski.
The hearing was advertised in the North Andover Citizen on April 19 and 26, 1995 and all
abutters were notified by regular mail.
Upon a motion by Raymond Vivenzio and seconded by Walter Soule,the Board voted
unanimously to GRANT the Variance and Special Permit as requested and displayed on
plans dated April 12,.1995 prepared by Registered Land Surveyor Scott Giles.
The Board finds that the petitioner has satisfied the provisions of Section 10, Paragraph
10.4 of the Zoning Bylaw and that the granting of this variance will not adversely affect
the neighborhood or derogate from the intent and purpose of the Zoning Bylaw.
