Dear Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals:
My husband and I would like to remodel part of our carriage house at 815 Johnson
Street to make an in-law apartment for my parents. I am an only child and my
parents currently reside in Northampton, Massachusetts. My parents are getting
along in years and my mother has chronic hepatitis. She has periods when she
needs assistance that is becoming difficult for my father to provide. It would be
very comforting for them and us if they could live with us so that we could help
care for my mother.
We feel fortunate that we have the space to accommodate their needs. We are
hopeful that the board will act favorably on our request to create an in-law
apartment in our carriage house.
Sincerely,
44__
William B. and Sheryl J. Appleton
