~pecial Meeting
The Planning Board held a special meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 1961 at the
Town Building. The meeting was called for 7:00 PM but did not start until
7~30 PM. Members present ~nd voting were~ James M. Banyan, Chairman, George
Farley and William Chepulis.
The meeting was .held to discuss the plans submitted by Demere aad Shea for
garden-type apartments and roadway. The Planning Beardts requirements and
recommendations are necessary in order for the Board of Appeals to make a
decision following the hearing held by them.
After a thorough discussion, the Board made the following requirements an~
reo~w~dations:

From the end of turn-around to end of property as showa on
plot pla~, future extension must not be built on at any time,
area to be reserved strictly for read purposes.
The Beard recommends bit,~m~nous concrete instead of oil
penetration. This was a unanimous vote by the Bear~.
The Board requires, on recommendation of Board of Public Works
a~d Fire Department, that there should be two hydrants instead of one;
end an 8" water main instead of 6" as shown on plot plan.
The Board requires that they post suitable Bond to c~nply with the
requirements of the Board of Public Works and the Highway Department.
A letter containing the above requirements and reconznendations will be sent
to the Board of Appeals.
