Special Meeting
The PLANNING BOARD held a Special Meeting on Tuesday evening, March 24, 1970
at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Office Building with the following members present:
William Chepulis, Jr., Chairman; Donald N. Keirstead, Charles W. Trombly, Jr. and
John J. Monteiro. Mr. Burke was unable to attend. Mr. Constantinides of the Dept.
of Community Affairs was also unable to attend.
John Brown's revised Scope of Services was submitted and the Board discussed the
contents.
The Board discussed the citizen's Advisory Committee; they should try to limit it
to 25 members, one year appointment and they would have no final voting power.
The following is the list of committees and Boards to contact for appointments.
1. 2 members of the Planning Board
2. Board of Selectmen
3. Board of Public Works
4. School Committee and School Building Committee
5. Capital Outlay Committee
6. N. A. Historical Society
7. Board of Trade
8. Conservation Commission
9. ~aycee's
10. 2 High School Students
ll. Western Electric Company representative
12. Highway Surveyor
13. League of Women Voters
14. Industrial Development Commission
15. Board of Assessors
16. Board of Health
17. N. A. Improvement Society
18. Housing Authority
19. A realtor
20. A developer
21. A representative from each of the precincts
Letters will be sent to the various boards, committees, etc. requesting them to
appoint one representative. Notice will also be published Ln the newspaper re-
questing interested persons to apply for consideration by the board for appoint-
ment to the committee.
A meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 31st to further discuss the Scope of
Services and for implementation of the Planning Advisory Committee.
The meeting adjourned at lO:OO P.M.
