Special Meeting
The PLAR]YI~GBOARD held a special meeting on Tuesday evening, March 31, 1970
at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Office Building with the following members present and
voting: William Chepulis, Jr., Chairman; Robert J. Burke, John J. Monteiro and
Donald N. Keirstead. Mr. Trombly was unable to attend.
PLANS NOT REQUIRING PLANNIh~BOARD APPROVAL:
Mr. Burke made a motion that any one member of the Board may sign plans not
requiring Planning Board approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Mr. Keirstead
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
SOIL SURVEY:
The Conservation Commission had forwarded a form to be completed by the Board
relative to the l0 most wanted items in a soil survey they were conducting. The
board chose the following in order of importance in their opinion.
1. Home sites
2. Commercial on-site.
3. Water and sewer pipe lines
Water table
5. Land characteristics
6. Surface run-off
7. Septic tank and sewerage disposal
8. Roads
9. School sites
10. Sand and gravel.
PLANNI~ ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
The Board further discussed the organization and functions of the proposed
Planning Advisory Committee and agreed to go along with the suggestions as made
at the last meeting. Mr. Keirstead will prepare the form letters to be sent out
by the secretary.
