Special Meeting - 1 Hearing
The PLANNTNG BOARD met on Tuesday evening, November 2~, 1972 at 7:30 P.M.
in the Town Office Building meeting room with the following members present and
voting: Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Chairman; Donald N. Keirstead, Vice Chairman;
and William Chepulis. Members Ostherr & Monteiro were unable to attend.
There were 3 people present.
This meeting was to hold a continued hearing upon the proposed Subdivision Rules
and Regulations. The original hearing was held on November 2, 1971 and was
continued from that time until the present because the Board was more involved
with the new Zoning By-Law.
The discussion had ended at page 16, corrections were made up to that page and
corrected copies distributed.
Nike Schena and John Wi~_lis discussed several suggested changes with the Board
members. Mr. Schena suggested possibly determining the width of streets by a
traffic count, which is done in other parts of the country. Mr. Schena will
bring material to the Board at the next meeting having to do with his suggestion.
Lengthy discussion was held with John Willis relative to covenants and not being
able to build, the statute requirements relative to covenants, etc.
Mr. Keiretead feels that the statute is clear in requiring covenants and the
Planning Board will go along with it - the Board will not waive a state statute.
Several other minor changes were made.
Mr. Chepulis made a motion to take the matter under advisement; Mr. Keirstead
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. The Board would like to vote
on the regulations'at the December ~th meeting.
BUILDII~ INSPECTOR POSITION:
The Selectmen will hold a meeting on Wednesday, December 6tht with several
town officials and department heads relative to making the Building Inspector
position f-Il-time. Either Mr. Monteiro or Mr. Ostherr will represent the
Planning Board.
PLANS NOT REQUIRING APPROVAL:
Mr. Keirstead made a motion to sign the following plans as not requiring
Planning Board approval under the Subdivision Control Law; Mr. Chep-lis seconded
the motion and the vote was unanimous.
1. Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston - land on Waverly Road.
2. Gilbert - Forest Street.
3. McDonnell - E. Water & Chickering Rd.
&. Demers- Clark Street.
5. Demi - Forest Street.
6. 3 sets of plans for Burke - Cotuit, Ipswich & Peters Streets.

BUDGET:
The budget had been prepared to cover am 18 months period, as required.
Mr. Keirstead made a motion to approve the budget :as presented; ~r. Che~,~s
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
