Regular Meeting
The BOARD OF APPF_~J.S held a regular monthly meeting on Monday
evening, July 9, 1984 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Office Meeting
Room with the following members present and voting: Frank
Serio, Jr., Chairman; Alfred E. Frizelle, Esq., Vice Chairman;
Richard J. Trepanier, Esq., Clerk; William J. Sullivan; Augustine
W. Nickerson; and Associate Member Maurice S. Foulds.
PUBLIC HE/iRINGS
Petralito~ John and Rita - Variance - Sawyer Road
Sitting: Serio, Frizelle, Trepanier, Sullivan, Nickerson
The Clerk read the legal notice.
Mr. and Mrs. Petralito made the following presentation:
They own a single family home which they wish to sell.
The plot plan drawn for the mortgage showed a setback viola-
tion.
No new construction is proposed.
The house has been on the site for 32 years.
The variance is necessary in order for them to sell the house.
No one spoke in favor or opposition to the petition.
MOTION: by Mr. Trepanier to grant the variance as requested.
SECOND: by Mr. Frizelle
VOTE : Unanimous - motion carries
Bennett~ Robert and Jeffrey~ Linda - Variance - Hemlock Street
Sitting: Serio, Frizelle, Trepanier, Sullivan, Nickerson
A letter from James Curren of Cyr Engineering dated 7/9/84 was
read and placed on file.
The letter requested that the petition be withdrawn.
Mr. Bennett stated that when he purchased his dwelling in 1979 it
conformed with the Zoning By Laws. He questioned why the engineer
is now saying it does not. He asked that the petition be heard.
The clerk read the legal notice.
MOTION: by Mr. Frizelle to deny the acceptance of the letter from
Cyr Engineering.
SECOND: by Mr. Trepanier
VOTE : In favor - 4 (Serio, Frizelle, Trepanier, Nickerson)
Opposed 1 (Sullivan)
Motion carries
Mr. Bennett explained that the recent plot plan showing the vio-
lation was drawn for a ~orgtage request.
MOTION: by Mr. Trepanier to grant the variance as requested.
SECOND: by Mr. Frizelle
VOTE ; Unanimous - motion carries
OTHER BUSINESS
San Lau Realty Trust - Request for reconsideration - Main Street
Sitting: Frizelle, Sullivan, Nickerson, Foulds
A letter from Attorney Clifford Elias dated 6/12/84 was read and
placed on file.
The Board reviewed the decision rendered on June 11, 1984.
MOTION: by Mr. Foulds to reconsider the decision as it relates to
the 56 1/2 feet.
SECOND: by Mr. Nickerson
VOTE : Unanimous - motion carries
MOTION; by Mr. Nickerson to amend the decision by deleting the
words "and 56 l/Z feet along land N/F of Kelly R. Realty"
SECOND: by Mr. Foulds

Correspondence from Mrs. Hughes - Autran Avenue
The Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Hughes of 91Autran Avenue dated
June 6, 1984 regarding a variance granted to Alice Lennon.
The Board instructed the secretary to forward a letter from the
Chairman stating that her letter was received and acknowledged.
