My name is Jason Dixey. I am a licensed contractor in the state of Massachusetts. My
license number is 98808. 1 have been doing work at 148 Waverly Rd. in North Andover,
MA for Guberson Mercadat (Sonny.) I started framing the interior partitions to the
original blue prints. After getting the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom walls
up, Sonny decided that the layout didn't work. I then removed the bedroom, bathroom
and living room walls and started framing the new walls to the revised set of plans. After
I began framing the walls Sonny realized he still didn't like the layout so he drew his own
plans. I finished all the interior partitions to Sonny's plan. Then Sonny wanted me to
move 2 bedroom walls, the bathroom wall and the living room wall. After they were
moved he wanted to change the bedroom door. I explained to Sonny that all these
changes were extras. He agreed. In addition Sonny wanted the back stair location
moved so I told him I could take the top 4 stair treads and switch them to the other side.
He said that's fine. When we realized that wasn't going to work because the plans had
been changed I realized we were going to have to remove the entire staircase and re
frame it. I told sonny that was not part of the plan and he disagreed. Because it was
written so poorly in our contract we agreed that if he paid for the materials and
dumpster I would do the labor for free. Now that we are ready to get the insulation and
drywall installed, I've explained to Sonny I need more money. He disagrees and here we
are at a stand still. I've tried to come to some kind of understanding with Sonny but he
doesn't agree with me. I've explained to him that I cannot work for free and all these

what. I've told him that I would be happy to finish the project if he pays me more money
but he doesn't want to. At this point I have no other option than to walk away.
