Re: Addition at end of house with garage under
Location of Job: 2163 Turnpike Street — North Andover, MA 01845

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Adams,
We propose hereby to furnish labor and materials in accordance with the customer provided
specifications and conceptual drawings (as discussed), for the scope of work as follows:
Supply and install new 25' wide x 30'-0" long (approx.) Addition at left side of existing house
with full two stall 24'-0" wide x 24' long Garage under
Demolition / Excavation / Concrete
1. Cut down, remove and dispose of existing trees and shrubs as required at left side of
property, pull stumps and dispose of same
2. Excavate (8' depth min.) for new full height concrete foundation wall for new addition
(with garage), at left side of house
3. Provide all required inspections of adjacent properties, safety equipment, matting, and
other essential materials as required to blast / hammer and remove ledge as necessary to
install new concrete foundation walls and slabs for addition with garage under: Note
this estimate includes an allowance of $ 3,500.00 to blast / hammer, remove and
dispose of approximately 100 cubic yards of ledge, with four code required (pre
and post) inspections of neighboring properties
Note: It is impossible to determine exactly how many cubic yards of ledge are beneath the
ground in the area that we will be excavating without a costly pre -excavation drilling
survey. Dube -Plus has estimated the approximate volume of ledge to be 25% of the
total cubic yards to be excavated (thus the allowance of $ 3,500.00). If the entire area
were ledge (based on the total volume of 414 cubic yards), the number could exceed
this allowance by 75% or $ 10,500.00 dollars as a maximum not to exceed dollar
figure.
