B-4 A Special Permit from 4.122.22 is required in order to allow a Family Suite in
Zoning District 4; and from Section 9, Paragraph 9.2 in order to extend the use
of a pre-existing non-conforming structure on a pre-existing non-conforming
lot by converting an existing carriage house.
B-4 Also, a Finding will be required to determine if the proposed location in a
detached structure is within the intent of 2.37.1 and 4.122.22.
2.37.1 Family Suite (1987/22)
"A separate dwelling unit located within a single family dwelling subordinate
in size to the principal unit and separated from it in a manner, which maintains
the appearance of the building as a single-family dwelling...."
4.122.22—"Family Suite—a separate dwelling unit within or attached to a
dwelling for a member of a household is allowable by Special Permit..."
A dimensional Variance from 2.37.1 (Family Suite) for the Gross Floor Area is
required in order to construct a Family Suite.
