I will cover the entire non gable sides with a black plastic material to eliminate any damage to the home. I will also cover the entire deck with plywood to eliminate any damage to the deck -Remove all layers of existing roofing singles from the roof -Install new ice and water shield six feet up from the bottom of the roof. -The remaining areas on the roof will be covered in a synthetic roofing paper -I will install new ice and water shield in all valleys -- I will Weave the front valleys with new shingles rather than cut. This provides the valleys with an extra layer of protection from leaks. The valleys divert a majority of the water off of the roof -The back slight pitched roofs will be completely covered in ice and water shield. To eliminate any ice problems in the winter -Install new 8 inch white aluminum drip edge on all roof edges. -Install new 30 Year IKO architectural shingles. The color is of your choice -I will cut and 1/A'/2 inch slot on the both sides of the ridge to accept the new cobra vent. All roofs in Massachusetts must have a ridge vent to be in compliance to the Massachusetts building code. This allows the attic to breathe and also allows the shingles to last longer. --I will inspect the plywood on the back dormer for rot and will replace any plywood that is rotted for a small additional charge of$45.00 per each 4a€TMX8dETM section -Install A%2 inch board on top of the plywood. The recovery board will be attached with metal plates and screws. The plates and screws will be installed to manufacturers specifications. - Install .060 black EPDM rubber. I am going to lay the rubber in a manner in which there will be the least amount of seams. All seams will be lapped at a minimum of 8a€❑ according to manufacturers specifications. All seams will be taped and bonded with 8a€❑ black tape. -Install new white drip edge on all roof edges --All seams on the rubber roofing will be glued and bonded together according to Carlisle EPDM specifications. -I will install new black witches hats over all pipes that go through the back dormer roof. -Install a new cobra vent of the top of the roof -Install 2 new stinkpiP e boots on the back side of the roof i -I will also replace the existing attic vents with new black vents -Dispose of all material in a legal manner - I will remove the existing lead out of the chimney -I will grind out a new mortar joint to receive the new lead. The lead edges will be covered with new mortar. -Once the roof installation is completed, I will seal the edges of the new leed with new clear Geoseal. -I will purchase a building permit prior to starting the job -I will dispose of all material in a legal manner. 2 --All roofing work is backed by a 30 year labor and material warrantee. The first 15 years is 100% replacement and after 15 years this warrantee is prorated up until 30 years Total material and labor for the roofing project $7500.00 The amount of$3500.00 is due upon signing of the contract and receiving all roofing materials and receiving the permit.
