Deck Replacement and Extension
Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #65
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 (A) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations, Mr. Dan
Gobeil, Dan Gobeil Home Improvement (applicant) filed for a small project request on behalf of
the homeowner of 37 Court Street, North Andover. The proposed work includes the razing of two
existing decks (12' x 14' and 5' x 9' in size), and the construction of 12' x 16' and 5' x 8' decks and
associated stairs. The old footings will be removed and seven new concrete piers will be dug by
hand, as shown on the attached sketch. Work will be conducted 62' from the edge of Bank
associated to an intermittent stream at its closest point. The North Andover Conservation
Department agrees with the location of the wetland boundary.
During the April 14, 2010 public meeting, the North Andover Conservation Commission (NACC)
voted unanimously to approve this project. The following conditions are hereby mandated:

CONDITIONS:
1. Any erosion prevention and sedimentation protection measures found necessary during
construction shall be implemented at the direction of the NACC. The NACC reserves the right
to impose additional conditions on portions of this project to mitigate any impacts, which could
result from site erosion, or any noticeable degradation of surface water quality discharging from
the site. Should installation of erosion control be required by the NACC, they shall be installed
within 48 hours of the Commission's request.

2. Accepted engineering and, construction standards and procedures shall -be followed in the
completion of the project.
3. All concrete piers shall be dug by hand as proposed.
4. Excess material shall be properly disposed of offsite. Any material dumped in the resource
area shall result in enforcement action.
5. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization, please contact the
Conservation Department for a final inspection.
6. This permit shall expire six months from the date of issue.
