When we spoke on the phone I was still working on a layout issue, but I have resolved it. I was mistaken: you can do a 22 panel or 20 panel option, and both will form nice clean rectangles on the roof, so here they are. Our assumptions remain: • From the utility information your supplied, you consume approx. 14,423 kilowatt hours of electricity annually, or approx. 1202 kWh on average per month. You currently pay approx. 13.8 cents per kWh to National Grid. • Your asphalt roof is in good condition. • These prices include complete Turnkey installation, including moving the vent pipe as needed. Option A: 5.06kW Photovoltaic system w Enphase inverters. 22 Canadian Solar 230-watt photovoltaic modules, 22 Enphase Micro inverters, and all necessary balance of system materials (wiring, disconnects, etc.). Pricing: The gross price of this systems $33ta1 Less Commonwealth Solar II retate*—$ 5000` Less anticipated 30%federal tax credit* - $8,433 Less anticipated 15% state tax credit* (not to exceed $1000) - $1,000 Total anticipated cost after rebates and tax incentives: $18,677 Option B: 5.06kW Photovoltaic system w Solectria Inverter. 22 Canadian Solar 230-watt photovoltaic modules, 1 Solectria PV15000 inverter, and all necessary balance of system materials (wiring, disconnects, etc.). This monitor allows you to track your system performance in real time from your computer, and allows us to make sure that all is workingproperly. p .p Y Also, I'm running all the numbers in the rest of this proposal for option D.the 4.6kW system at lowest cost per watt. But all of the options will have very similar numbers to these. On-going Revenue: Solar Renewable Energy Credits New to Massachusetts in 2010, the Department of Energy Resources has implemented a Solar Credit Market. This program offers an on-going production incentive for making solar energy, above and beyond electricity savings. For every megawatt hour(mWh) of electricity produced, system owners earn one SREC, or Solar Renewable Energy Certificate, which are then sold to back the electric utilities needing to meet state solar energy mandates. 411 A Highland Avenue Suite 312 1 Somerville,MA 02144 I P:617 500 3938 1 F:617 412 3062 1 www.sunbugsolar.com l (66 Zun mug Solar° Because the market is new, the DOER has established parameters for SREC price and term. In For SRECs generated in 2010, floor of the market is $300 per SREC, and the ceiling is $600. For installations in 2010, there is a 10 year opt-in term for the Solar Credit Clearinghouse, meaning that they have established that $300/SREC price for 10 years. This new Massachusetts incentive has an enormous impact on your system's investment profile, as seen in your Direct Return on Investment Analysis in the following pages. Based on your consumption, this system will allow you to produce approximately 37% of your electricity yourself. Electric Bill This 4.06kW system could allow you to eliminate your home's electric cost. Solar savings reduce your consumption by 37%, and your remaining electric cost can be offset by SREC revenue. In fact, in its first year, solar savings plus SREC revenue at a minimum level ($300/SREC) project to cover over 110%of your electric bill.
