Dear Brian,
My name is Jessica Gulezian-Slipp. I understand you were at the home my husband and I
recently purchased. I am writing to assure you that we will not be doing any construction
without a permit. The previous owners left us a filthy mess and we have been removing
their belongings that were left behind. Aside from disposing of their debris, we have
removed wood paneling from some of the walls and sheet rocked over bad sheet rock.
We are purchasing our kitchen cabinets from Doyle Lumber and per the request of Dan,
their kitchen manager, we removed the existing cabinets (half had been removed prior to
us purchasing the house) so he could take proper measurements. As we were doing this,
we discovered some weird electrical and became nervous that there may be a safety
hazard. We contacted Phil from Stateline Electric to assess. My husband briefly met with
Phil last night August 3rd and he said he could fit us into his schedule today August 4th.
Phil figured he would get the scope of the work to be done and then obtain a permit
because it was unknown how much bad electrical was in the house. I would like to
emphasize that the only work done today was the correcting of safety issues; including
replacing a,bad electrical sub-panel and removing some electrical wiring that could pose
a fire hazard. I want to also point out that Phil has every intention of taking out a permit
for any other work that is needed.
Also, since I work in Boston and will be unable to apply for the permit in person, I am
giving permission for my father,David Gulezian,to obtain said permit on my behalf.
We would like to take out a permit to do the following:
• Remove tile from kitchen walls
• Install new kitchen cabinets ($3,100)
• Install new kitchen counter($2,500)
• Install new kitchen appliances($2,099)
• Repair the ledger to the deck
At this time, we have no plans to renovate any of the bathrooms.
