tax, property tax revenue and budget issues.
Questions:
1. What is owed for FY02 excise tax?
2. Do you happen to know what our collection rate is?
3. What is our past record for collection rate is?
4. What efforts are being made to collect the outstanding excise taxes?
5. Do we have the ability to advertise in the paper to appeal to town people for
collection or best practices that our communities use to collect taxes?
6. Regarding Real Estate taxes, the FY02 budget was $37,189 and actual collection
was $36,788. The difference was about $400,000. Can you explain the discrepancy?
7. What are the steps for collection of Real Estate taxes?
