HomeMy WebLinkAboutMiscellaneous - 103 FULLER ROAD 4/30/2018 (3)�_ Q �. r1ORTH O O'➢- COGNIC IWKK 7' CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT Community Development Division October 15, 2010 Andrea Keyo 103 Fuller Road North Andover, MA 01845 RE: Selective cutting of a dying pine tree within the 25' No Disturb buffer zone of a wetland resource area This is a follow up letter pertaining to your request to remove one (1) pine tree which is dying and is within the 25' No Disturb buffer zone to the wetland resource area at 103 Fuller Road. The tree was identified by me on September 2, 2010 on site. It was determined that the tree, which is a small/ medium pine, was located within the 25' No -Disturbance Zone pursuant to the North Andover Wetlands Protection Bylaw (C. 178 of the Code of North Andover). The tree was observed to be dying and is in close proximity to the house and yard posing a safety hazard. Removal of vegetation, including pruning and cutting, is prohibited within the No - Disturbance Zone except in rare circumstances, such as safety. The tree is identified in the attached photo. The stump is permitted to be cut off flush with the ground, however the stump and roots must remain. The tree is permitted to be removed by hand with no machinery allowed in the resource area or within the 25' No Disturbance Zone. Removal of additional trees is not permitted at this time. You may request permission from the Conservation Commission to remove additional trees by obtaining certification from an arborist that the tree or trees are dying and therefore present a safety hazard.
