We have neighbors who are senior citizens and they allow their son to park his snow plow/ landscaping/painting vehicles at their home. It is similar to living next to the DPW. Plows and trucks are constantly going to and from the home and they are maintained in the driveway. This would be tolerable if not for the noise and the constant idling of trucks. The noxious fumes are overwhelming. For instance, as I was preparing for work this morning, a truck was left idling for 45 minutes, and was still idling when I left for work. What recourse do I have to make this situation better?According to the zoning map, we live in a Residential Zone 4. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Since then, the activity has picked up due to all of the snow. As a matter of fact, I returned home today at 3:30 because of the storm and two plow trucks have been idling since my return (it is now 4:30). 1 am unable to shovel my own driveway because of the noxious exhaust. I have documented some of the activity. (Please see attached photos). Unfortunately it is hard to tell from the photos that these vehicles are running. It also fails to translate the noxious smell and the noise related to idling engines and swearing plow truck drivers. I am still interested in what recourse I may take to correct the issue. This is a residential neighborhood and I feel like I live next to the DPW. Your help is appreciated.
