Cho and I am a next door neighbor of Mr.Toan Nguyen (139 Amberville Rd.). 1 would like to present my view on his dimensional variance request. The fact of the matter is that my family and I are the only party that would be directly affected by this endeavor. In the front of Mr.Nguyens's house,there lies the road. To its right there is a playground,and then there is our house,which is directly to its left. Concerned about this situation, I made sure to attend the March 14`" hearing meeting. 1 was prepared to present my case, but 1 never got a chance. At that meeting,due to Mr. Nguyen's incomplete paperwork, his request was rejected for the time being and he was advised to present his request again after obtaining the necessary papers. This March 14`" meeting was alerted to me via registered mail. Needless to say, I waited anxiously for the notice of the next meeting. However the second meeting, an event completely unbeknownst to me, was held without any prior notice alerting me to attend. Hence, I did not receive a chance to voice my concern and my opposition. As you can see, I am strongly opposed to the idea of this request for a dimensional variance. My reason is simple. Four years ago, when 1 was purchasing my new house,a definite rule existed dividing between the lots that could be expanded and one that could not. I paid an extra$30,000 for a"lot premium"which allowed me to extend the lot I purchased. The pivotal deciding factor in why I chose this particular land was because the Pulte Construction Development Company assured us that our next door neighbor, 139 Amberville, was not allowed to build beyond his allotted space. To go against the very contract which we based our decision to purchase our new home is, for lack of a better word, unfair. If this request for dimensional variance is granted,the new building Mr. Nguyen plans to build will be in direct view to the whole left side of our house,and therefore blocking the view which we have become accustomed to seeing every morning and night. We do not wish to be robbed of the view we not only paid for, but value beyond its monetary value. 1 want to thank you for the chance to voice my opinion and for your time.
