West, Acting Conservation Agent West Environmental, Inc. RE: 141 Appleton Street,North Andover Site Inspection Report On March 19, 2008, Mark West met onsite with Mike Dowling, realtor with Carlson GMAC at 141 Appleton Street. Also in attendance were a prospective home buyer and his real estate agent. They wanted to know if they could construct an addition onto the home under the North Andover Wetlands Protection Bylaws(see Chapter 178 of http://www.townofnorthandover.com/Pages/NAndoverMA WebDocs/TownBylaw.pdfi). Mark West showed them where the edge of the wetland was on the property and generally how far the 25', 50', and 100' buffers extended towards the house. It appears that the existing home is in the 100' setback but the potential addition could easily be built outside of the 50' no-build zone. They were informed that they would need to file the appropriate application with the Conservation Department for any work within the 100' wetland buffer zone and they would need a wetland delineation, site plans,etc. Please call our office if you have any questions or would like additional clarification.
