Please accept this letter as acknowledgement that we, Wiley T. Richards and
Mary R. Richards, husband and wife of the Town of North Andover have agreed
that pending approval from the Board of Appeals for the necessary variances
that the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company will be granted an
easement for the placing of one building structure approximately fifteen (15)
feet long by ten and one half (10-1/2) feet wide by nine and one half (9-1/2)
feet high and one concrete pad approximately five (5) feet by seven (7) feet
with associated equipment and cables upon a parcel of land owned by the us and
shown on Assessors Map 107B, Lot 66 and located on the southwesterly side of
<Salem Turnpike -\in the Town of North Andover, Massachusetts.

PRECAST CONCRETE
EQUIPMENT HUT
Precast Concrete Hut
Size:
The interior measures 13 feet, 6 inches long by 9 feet wide and 8 feet
in height.
Capacity:
The Precast Concrete Hut can accomodate 15 fibre-optic/SLC-96 racks.
Security:
The Precast Concrete Hut is well secured. "Silent" Alarm (alarms sound
only at the central office, not at the enclosure site) provides protection
against unauthorized entry.
Primary Power:
The power source is commercial 117 VAC, 60 Hz.
Back Up Power:
Each SLC -96 system has a string of 48 VDC batteries that can provide
operation for a minimum of eight hours during commercial power
failure. Additionally, each building has an external plug and manual
transfer switch for a portable generator.
Climate Control:
An electronic controller regulates the huts interior temperature and
humidity. The controller also operates an air conditioner and electric
ceiling hung heater.
