A field inspection was conducted upon the completion of installation and data were gathered by Sunbug staffs. The following is a summary of my findings. The solar panels add approximately 4 psf to the existing roof structures. The products that were used in this project,such as the PV panels,racking systems,and accessories are consistent with these on the permit plan sheets. The installation crews have been thoroughly trained to install the solar panels based on the specific roof installation instructions developed by AEE SnapNRack for the solar racking system and for the roof connections. The entire roof structure as existing or with the recommended reinforcements is capable to support the new loads imposed by the installed panels and snow. I certify that the existing structure directly supporting the PV system and adjacent roof areas that are impacted by the installation are adequate to withstand all loading from the panels and snow. I further certify that all applicable loads required by IRC 2009 and with Massachusetts amendments were applied to the AEE SnapNRack rail system/roof connections and analyzed. Finally,I accept the certifications indicated by the solar panel manufacturer for the ability of the panels to withstand high wind and snow loads.
