The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 12,2000,at 7:30 PM upon the
application of Judy&Roger Lawson,Jr.,16 Dufton Court,North Andover,MA for a Special Permit
from S9,P 9.2 for the extension of a non-conforming structure on a non-conforming lot,in order to
construct the"A'frame front dormers and the rear shed dormer to create 2 bedrooms and bathroom.
The following members were present:William J.Sullivan,Walter F.Soule,Raymond Vivenzio,Robert Ford,John
Pallone.
Upon a motion made by Raymond Vivenzio and 2nd by John Pallone the Board voted to GRANT a
Special Permit according to the application to allow the extension of a non-conforming structure on a non-
conforming lot,in order to construct the"A"frame front dormers and the rear shed dormer to create 2
bedrooms and bathroom on the condition that the property forever remain no more than a 2 family
residence. In accordance with the Plan of Land by:Joseph D. Simon,PLS,#37059,Clipper City,
Newburyport,MA,dated: 7/28/2000. Voting in favor: WJS/WFS/RV/RF/JP.
Furthermore,if the rights authorized by the variance are not exercised within one(1)year of the date of the
grant,they shall lapse,and may be re-established only after notice, and a new hearing. Furthermore,if a
Special Permit granted under the provisions contained herein shall be deemed to have lapsed after a two(2)
year period from the date on which the Special Permit was granted unless substantial use or construction
has commenced,they shall lapse and may be re-established only after notice,and a new hearing.

The following narrative is provided to further explain the reasons for denial for the building
permit for the property indicated on the reverse side:

Section 9 A special permit is required for the extension of a non-conforming structure on
