I recommend, . you hire an arborist or tree specialist to make those important decisions. If you feel there is an imminent danger from the trees,there is an emergency provision under the State Wetlands Protection Act that allows you to conduct work immediately. You may prune dead or hazardous limbs at any time. If you would tike to completely remove a tree (stumps are usually cut below grade or ground in place)you would need to file with the commission. To file a small project,the work would need to be 25'from the edge of wetland and 50'from mosquito brook. If the work is closer to the resource areas, a Request for Determination filing(also available on our website would be appropriate). Please let me know if I can help you in any way with the process. As we discussed, it is possible to prune existing vegetation under a "Small Project"filing. I have attached the form required. All work would need to be 25 feet upland of the edge of bordering vegetated wetland and more than 50 feet from the banks of Mosquito Brook. Please call if you need additional assistance.
