Dear Mrs. Grant,
This email is in reply to our phone conversation yesterday.
Here's the breakdown of what happened and what I'm doing to get the heating problem
fixed ASAP at 180 Chickering Rd Unit 203.
On October 26th Kerri my tenant let me know the heating has stopped working. I said
I'll come look at it and replace the filter while I was there. After troubleshooting and
checking the unit and thermostat 1 realized this wouldn't be something I could fix.
I called Kevin Burris a local contractor immediately to fix it. Kevin went to take a look at
the unit and saw that the controller was burnt out. Thinking that was the problem he
ordered the piece and when it came in a week later he installed it. The unit still didn't
work. I figured maybe he didn't know what he was doing so I quickly relieved him off the
job.
After contacting Climate Designs of Methuen they came out and looked at the unit. The
guy said more than just the controller was "fried" the inducer I believe was also fried.
They found the part and ordered it immediately. I asked about overnight shipping and
they said it wasn't an option. Once the piece came in exactly 7 days after ordering it
they sent a tech to install it. After he installed it he said that the blower was also broken.
They have ordered the blower and I'm assuming it will take another week to get the
piece in. Once it's in they plan on coming to install it immediately.
I've been trying to get this situation fixed since the day Kerri told me about it. Nothing
has been going as planned. I don't want Kerri and her daughter to be in there without
heat. Every call I've made has been with the best intentions of getting the heating unit
fixed. Trust me I'm not happy about this and it's been stressing me to the max because
I have her in there without heat.
I put two heaters over there for her in the meantime. One space heater and one
baseboard heater and have offered to pick up the electric bill for those days she uses
them.
